Acoustic treated with absorbers and diffusors for a sound that is pure, lively and non-fatiguing.
Event near fields with Sub, superior quality QSC active PA for hair bristlingly powerful high SPL checking plus a variety of cheap consumer speakers for reality checking on 'junk' playback systems.
DAW:
Primarily Cubase Pro, but I also enjoy Ableton, Bitwig and Reaper.
RECORDING:
I have a large collection of microphones justified by my frequent recording of orchestral and jazz concerts. Mostly large and small diaphragm condensers in all types of polar patterns as well as a number of ribbon mics. Most models are bought in pairs for stereophonic recording options. Mic pre-amplification mainly from Line Audio, but additionally a bunch of very respectable pres from RME and Focusrite. 18 channel tracking. Virtually Unlimited channels for edit, mix and post.
